From producing house music records as Just Lucas, djing, and opening nightclubs around the US, Brazilian electronic music producer Lucas Medeiros is reinventing his career by bringing authentic Brazilian music, dance, and culinary to the global stage.
Next up, Just Lucas is gearing up to perform at the dance music festival Ocaso Festival in Costa Rica. Ocaso Festival has international talents such as Solomun, Hot Since 82, and Seth Troxler. This will be the second time Just Lucas has played the main stage at this international festival, and this upcoming 2022 event is its first one back since the pandemic.
So much has happened for everyone over the pandemic, but for Lucas Medeiros, he continued to stay true to his passion for dance music. At the height of the pandemic, Lucas co-founded his own production company, Just Entertainment. As society could loosen restrictions, they launched their events as a space for people to join together once again safely.
"I always dreamt about putting up a company that would serve as a platform to showcase what sets Brazilian events apart from the rest. I want Just Entertainment Events to bring Brazil to the world. Music is one of the cornerstones of Brazil, and I want to showcase electronic music and techno on the global stage," Medeiros said.
By reinventing his career by producing these culturally inclusive and immersive events, he has expanded his passion for music and experience by sharing it with the world.
Lucas Medeiros moved to the United States from Brazil in 2006. After graduating with an audio engineering degree from San Francisco State University, he has continually followed his passion for music.
He began producing house music, DJing club events and became engraved in the San Francisco scene. He was working for the biggest dance music club in San Francisco hiring DJs, casting new talents and developing event themes. Soon after, he expanded and made a mark in the scene by opening the biggest nightclub in Denver, Colorado.
Lucas has always loved music and DJing, and after meeting his partner Lucas Santos the two came together as a duo under the alias Just Lucas. Just Lucas has released tracks on G-Mafia Records (Brazil) and Admit One Records (San Francisco).
Together, their production company Just Entertainment has sold out 2,000 capacity events. They have performed major events like Groove Island, New Year’s Eve with Benny Benassi, and How Weird. Just Lucas has performed shows alongside other major players in the Electronic Music scene, such as Vintage Culture, Gorgon City, Dom Dolla, Zedd, Solardo, and Alok.
Brazilian house music has risen in popularity in the global dance scene, and Just Lucas unique sound and events have brought a cultural music experience to the Bay area. Their parties are a place for people to let loose their inner freak on the dance floor with vibey house beats and a tropical flair.
Brazilian DJ duo Just Lucas has a new single, “Closer” set to be self-released in 2022 as an NFT giving exclusive art plus lifetime entry to all their future performances. This is a cutting-edge idea, combining the digital world with real-life experience.
Over the pandemic, things like technology and music kept us connected. In this post-pandemic world, we are experiencing a renaissance where creative arts are flowing, but this renaissance uses technology for a new wave of creativity unlike ever before.
Lucas Medeiros and Lucas Santos are here to share their immersive events with fans and give people a place to let loose, feel connected, and find themselves on the dance floor. The company produces authentic and immersive events, with musicians, including bands, singers, and DJs flying from Brazil to perform, dance, and everything in between, bringing a piece from Brazil to the United States.
